13 hours worth of city parking - $6.50
10 cups of decaf coffee - $17.50
1 tank of gas - $25
Finishing a drawing in the comfort of a coffee shop - Priceless.
I'm so glad this is done, and I managed not to severely fuck it up. I'm still not 100% happy with the hair, the ring, or the lousy excuse for a background, and I wish I'd spent some time maybe adding some texture to the hands and more to the lips, but ya know what....it's done.
I will so be sending Angelina a copy of this one of these days.
Used some nice soft brown drawing paper; same stuff I used for the Captain Jack Sparrow pic a couple years ago. Mostly 2B mechanical pencil, little bit of B, plus white charcoal pencil. Liberal chamois and blending stick usage throughout. That's pretty much about it.
Oh my gosh. That is amazing-- I wish I could draw people like you can! I personally think the hair looks great-- hair's a bitch to draw-- even though you're not happy with it. The eyes are very striking. I think your choice for background (what little of it there is!) was a good one; anything too busy would take away from the face.
Eh, I'm barely an artist. But I can recognize technical ability, and creativity, and you have both. I only have the former. In a few years, you'll blow me away.
