Tetriselemental ptrait 2 Color by mach5 Tetriselemental ptrait 2 Color by mach5
Continued from Tetriselemental portrait 2. There isn't much to say here. Took the B&W drawing, used color values from the source image along with stuff from my imagination to add color, ran it through a few filters, and voila. Out she comes.

I'm pretty happy with the results, flaws aside. Most of them stem from the source image itself, but my own inability to augment what I see effectively is just as equally to blame. Hopefully I'll get that skill under control soonish.

The eyes look great but what I love most is the shirt... so great. Very nice.

I can't believe the shirt came out so good. Funny thing about the last few drawings I did: The clothing came out better than the rest. I have a pic I haven't scanned yet (because it's not finished) of a woman in a satin dress, and I freakin' nailed it. But the face, I'm stuck on the face. I can't get the eyes right to save my life.

I wound up adding the original photo to my Deviations so that people could compare and contrast things if they like. ((wry grin)) Linky here. I will be very happy when I post another picture of actual art tomorrow and knock that thing off my DA page. I still think I look like a poorly-lit troll.

Nice job. I would tell you where it's off, but there's pretty much no point. I'm sure you know already, and you just need to practice to fix that. Good render!

Actually, I'd love to hear where it's off. I'm great at knowing that something's off, but rancid at knowing WHAT'S off. heh

Well, it looks like the neck is slightly too small to me and the left eye is up a bit too far for the right one.
